Masport Product Safety Recall - YOUR MOWER COULD BE AFFECTED!

Our records show that you have purchased a Masport Mower from us at Melbourne's Mower Centre & The RedShed Ride On Superstores. In a bid to ensure you're aware of Masport's safety recall we wanted to contact you to provide you with the following information. 

Is your mower affected?

If your Masport mower is affected it must:

1. Have 4 blades;
2. Have been purchased after July 2012;
3. Fall within the serial number range of 754549 to 779105; and
4. Be missing the anti-vibration washer (part 11 as shown in ‘Fig 1’). To check if your mower is missing this part ensure the mower is off and look underneath your mower by tipping it backwards onto its handlebars. Remember: never tip your mower on its side.

What if you are unsure?

If you are unsure whether your mower is affected by this safety recall, The RedShed is happy to check it for you for FREE.

What if my mower is affected?

If your mower does not have the Anti-vibration washer (part 11) fitted, your mower will need warranty work carried out.

The warranty work required will either be:

1. To fit an anti-vibration washer and new bolt; or
2. To fit a new disc blade cutting system and anti-vibration washer.

If new blades are required, the cost to supply and fit them is not covered by Masport's warranty. We, The RedShed, are happy to offer a 20% discount on fitting new blades especially for our existing customers with affected mowers.
